Advice for Trail Runners: The Salomon Men's Genesis Running Shoes are designed for rocky mountain routes. The sole purpose of these Salomon shoes is to inspire as much confidence as possible on challenging terrain.

Underfoot Feel

The Energy Foam midsole should feel protective, and yet agile on uneven terrain.

One of the key features of the Salomon Genesis Running Shoes' midsole is the Active Chassis. This dynamic support system should improve stability on rocky terrain.

A two-part lug pattern, with 4.5 mm lugs, helps improve traction on uphill and downhill sections. Salomon's All-Terrain Contagrip® compound should also help to provide a lot of traction on rocky ground.

Upper Fit

Salomon Running Shoes come in three widths: slim, standard, and wide. The Genesis Running Shoes have a standard fit.

We have to call out the weaved Matryx® upper. This is one of the most durable upper fabrics ever created.

Ideal Run Type

If your priorities are great support and grip, it's likely the Salomon Men's Genesis Running Shoes should suit your needs.

Every element of these Salomon Trail Running Shoes should help you tackle rough and rocky terrain, whether it's on flat or steep ground.

Sizing Advice

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
